About 350 science enthusiasts came to visit the HiLASE Centre during the Researchers’ Night. In addition to guided tours and a lecture on Lasers and Time, visitors (and not only the little ones) enjoyed an interesting accompanying programme. They weaved through a laser maze in a style of James Bond and measured their strength with our super-powerful lasers (which can shoot up to 200,000 times per second!) in a laser gun shooting contest. Moreover, they got a virtual reality tour of our most powerful, 16-metre-long Bivoj laser system, and also tested their knowledge and skills in our laser quiz or while building their own laser maze.
If you haven’t had a chance to come and see us yet this year, you can take another opportunity during the Academy of Sciences Week (1-7 November 2021), the programme of which we are currently preparing.
