On Tuesday, 18th July, students from the Taiwanese Sun Yat-Sen University visited the HiLASE Centre. The future young scientists visited the Czech Republic as part of their summer tour of European research centres. During their trip they also visited the central building of the Institute of Physics of the CAS, the ELI Beamlines laser centre, BIOCEV and other leading research institutions in the Czech Republic and the EU.
The HiLASE Centre has been cooperating with Czech and foreign universities for a long time. Taiwanese students interested in optics, semiconductors, 2D materials or superconductors learned more about our cutting-edge laser systems BIVOJ and PERLA®. They looked into the experimental halls for scientific and industrial laser applications, saw the Astrella laser and stations for laser shock peening or micro and nano surface structuring.
