Centre of Electron and Photonic Optics, which unites all the key academic and industrial representatives (including HiLASE Cente – Institute of Physics of the CAS), won a TA CR Award in the Partnership category. This is a prestigious prize for the best applied research projects funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.
However, the absolute winner of the TA CR Awards is still decided by voting on the competition website – and you can help us make sure that the Centre for Electron and Photonic Optics wins!
The project, led by the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the CAS, uses advanced technologies in the field of particle properties for imaging in the microworld and nanoscale. Such tools, including lasers, help manipulate atoms or molecules and change, for example, the properties of surfaces and structures of individual materials. Thanks to the synergy of the partners’ specialisations, the Centre for Electron and Photon Optics can also measure up to the world leaders in this field.
The TA CR Award is presented on the occasion of the TA CR Day, which this year celebrates 15 years of the agency’s operation and will be concluded with an Innovation Gala Evening at the National Museum. The best projects have been awarded since 2013, paying tribute to outstanding research and motivating exceptional scientific talent.
