From 7 to 10 April 2025, the prestigious SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics returned to Prague, bringing together experts in the field of optics and optoelectronic devices. As one of the co-organisers, the HiLASE Centre was actively involved in the event.
Our colleagues presented the results of their research in several conference sessions. Huzefa Aliasger Bhanpurwala gave a talk on efficient second and third harmonic generation from a diode-pumped thin-disk Yb:YAG laser with a pulse energy of 7 J and a repetition rate of 10 Hz. Šimon Šatra introduced the possibilities of extending the wavelength range of this laser system into the visible, UV, and DUV spectral regions through a poster presentation.
Throughout the conference, we were also present at booth no. 506, where HiLASE Centre’s Business Development Manager, Martina Řeháková, introduced visitors to our research and its applications in industry and space technologies.
On Friday, 11 April, participants of SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics had the opportunity to visit the HiLASE and ELI Beamlines laser centres in Dolní Břežany. During the excursion, we showcased our research infrastructure to a group of nearly 50 visitors, including experimental halls for Laser Shock Peening and cleanroom laboratories.
