Spectrofluorometer

The FLS1000 is a commercial customized spectrometer for performing luminescence measurements under light excitation. In this device, a Xe-lamp is used for excitation of the sample photoluminescence. The required wavelength is selected by a double excitation monochromator with a customized focal distance 2*350 mm in the range 210 – 800 nm that irradiates the samples in the sample compartment. One can study the samples in the following states: solutions, solid-state materials, powders. The emission of the samples is collected by a lens system and is decomposed by a double emission customized monochromator with 2*350 mm focal distance and straight light rejection ~10-10. The photoluminescence spectra are detected by a Peltier-cooling system in the spectral range 200 -900 nm with dark counts 10 counts/s. The spectrometer is driven by a Floracle software which also allows to obtain both excitation and emission spectra and perform their simple analysis. Besides, one can also obtain excitation-emission mapping of the studies samples.
