Scietific and Industrial Advisory Committee (SIAC) Kick-off Meeting

On February 13-14, 2017, the first meeting of the Scientific and Industrial Advisory Committee (SIAC) was held at HiLASE in Dolní Břežany. The SIAC is included in the organizational structure of the HiLASE centre as an independent body playing the role of advisory group of experts from top-ranking research institutions. SIAC was established in 2016 and meets within 2-day meeting at least once a year, or more frequently if necessary.

The main goal of the kick-off meeting was related to approval of open access rules and assist with setting and preparation of the calls for proposals on regular basis. Moreover, the visit of the AB members focused on assessment of the Centre within a semi-operational period in the year 2016. The meeting was convened by the Head of the Centre Dr. Tomas Mocek and the SIAC members prof. Andrei Kanaev, prof. Valdas Sirutkaitis and prof. Marta Castillejo were presented. They were joined by the Open Access manager and the Leaders of individual research programmes.

prof. Andrei Kanaev (France) – professor at the laboratory of Sciences of Processes and Materials under the national Center for Scientific Research in France
prof. Valdas Sirutkaitis (Lithuania) – Head of Quantum Electronics Department at Vilnius University
prof. Marta Castillejo (Spain) – Professor, PhD degree in Physics from Complutense University of Madrid, acted as management Committee member of the European Laser Consortium LASERLAB EUROPE
