On Tuesday the 22nd of October 2024, the second annual ROBUSTA: Robust Laser Automation for Integrators, took place. Five dozen experts met at the HiLASE Centre, spending the day discussing trends in laser integration for industrial applications. Speakers, specialists in the area of laser technologies and their applications, introduced the latest developments in the areas of automation, biomedical laser use, and laser components.
Talks by HiLASIANS were accompanied by experts from a range of innovative industry organisations: Crytur, MIT, HOFMEISTER, Lintech, Narran, LaserTherm, IQS, B&R Industrial Automation, SIC, CzechInvest and Brain4Industry. A large spectrum of topics was discussed, from interlock solutions in laboratories to laser cleaning and welding. The event also provided plentiful networking opportunities, not only during coffee breaks but also during the dinner that concluded the day.
Thank you to all partners and participants, who made this year’s ROBUSTA even bigger, richer and more varied than the last one!
We are already preparing for the next ROBUSTA though, which will take place on the 18th of November 2025. This time, we will focus on laser applications for space, which are a key strategic area for the HiLASE Centre and offer many opportunities for the development of Czech applied research on an international scale.
