The HiLASE Centre is participating in the Centre for Advanced Electron and Photon Optics (CAEPO) project, which builds on the earlier CEPO initiative. CAEPO unites key institutions involved in research on electron, photon, and quantum technologies.
Led by the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences (ISI CAS), this project focuses on the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in these fields, aiming to advance both Czech and global research. The project seeks to enhance research excellence and the practical relevance of academic partners while promoting knowledge transfer to industrial partners.
Focus Areas of CAEPO:
- Electron and light microscopy and spectroscopy,
- Advanced lasers and their applications,
- Opto-fiber sensors and probes,
- Micro- and nanostructured surfaces and optical components,
- Ultra-sensitive detection at the limits of physical principles,
- Ultra-precise metrology for manufacturing,
- Development of sophisticated components and systems.
Funding and Timeline:
The CAEPO project is co-funded with state support by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) within the National Competence Centre program. It is financed through the National Recovery Plan under the European Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
