On Friday the 28th of April, the HiLASE Centre was visited by the president of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Juras Banys, along with representatives of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Tomáš Mocek, head of the HiLASE Centre, welcomed the group in the lobby of the HiLASE Centre and introduced the main technologies that it focuses on. Next, they visited the clean laboratory where the high energy nanosecond laser system BIVOJ is developed. Lastly, the group was joined by Jan Brajer, head of the Industrial Laser Applications department, who showed them to the experimental hall for Laser Shock Peening.
