The HiLASE Centre and SIGMA GROUP a.s. are developing LSP processes for the improvement of cavitation erosion resistance of pump blades. By applying the Laser Shock Peening (LSP) technology the rate of cavitation erosion can be decelerated and loss of material reduced. This project was supported by the National Center of Competence MATCA.
