Every organisation operating Class 3B and 4 lasers should appoint a Laser Safety Officer (LSO). The training provides you with the comprehensive information needed to perform this job. The training is suitable for laser operators, risk prevention professionals, health and safety officers and managers.
The training for laser safety officers is based on the requirements of the standard TR 60825-14 (CLC/TR 50448:2005) Guide to levels of competence required in laser safety, which states that employer who operates class 3B and class 4 lasers should appoint a laser equipment safety officer.
Through the training, you will acquire not only the theoretical knowledge required by the CLC/TR 50448:2005 and Government Regulation No. 291/2015 Coll. but also practical skills:
- Calculation of the maximum permissible exposure to laser irradiation, determination of hazard zones, and calculation of laser protective glasses.
- Each participant will try out the essential tasks of setting up the laser system themselves under the guidance of an experienced laserist.
Training attendees do have also an excursion into the development of laser laboratories.
The training takes place twice a year, and the maximum number of participants is limited to 6. In case of interest, another date can be announced.
