On the 15th of July, 2016, His Excellency Mr. Moon Hayong, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Czech Republic visited HiLASE and ELI Beamlines laser facilities.
Ambassador Moon was greeted by Jan Řídký, the director of the Institute of Physics, Tomas Mocek, the head of HiLASE centre and Georg Korn, the chief scientist of ELI Beamlines. Tomas Mocek and Georg Korn introduced the Ambassador and Mr. Jeon Keunseok the missions and activities of both centres. The guests visited HiLASE laser laboratories and experimental hall. During the tour mainly the topics of bilateral Czech-Korean R&D&I cooperation and collaboration between academic and application spheres in the development and production of laser systems were discussed.
