On the 2nd and 3rd of December 2024, the 1st meeting of the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) for the LasApp project took place in Prague and Dolní Břežany. Members of the ISAB Ulrike Fuchs, Jindřich Houžvička, and Laeticia Petit met with representatives of the LasApp work packages to discuss project progress, share insights, and provide valuable feedback on ongoing activities.
However, that was not the only item on the board’s schedule. After the meeting, they visited the laboratories of the HiLASE Centre (Institute of Physics), as well as the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The meeting was concluded with a networking dinner at the Dolní Břežany brewery.
The LasApp project is focused on the development of state-of-the-art laser technologies, with potential use in space applications, biotechnology, or smart manufacturing. It emphasises the collaboration between individual organisations within the Czech Republic and the development of international application potential.
