Our colleague, Jiří Mužík, Team Leader: Thin Disk Lasers and Postdoctoral fellow, will give a talk on “High-brightness thin-disk laser platform PERLA for advanced industrial and scientific applications” at the AILU Workshop on Laser Sources & Beam Delivery.

Abstract
At the AILU Workshop on Laser Sources & Beam Delivery in Southampton, UK, I will talk about the unique parameters and potential of the thin-disk laser platform PERLA that our team has developed recently.
I see three main assets of the PERLA laser systems. First, it offers an ideal combination of high-average power, reliability, high beam quality, and short pulse duration, enabling a multitude of advanced applications at high processing speed. Furthermore, every PERLA is highly customizable in parameters to meet customers’ needs, including a wide range of available frequency conversion that covers spectral regions from deep ultraviolet to mid-infrared. And finally, our application team has extensive experience with breakthrough micromachining techniques, such as multi-beam processing and fabrication of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPS), that could have been developed in our laser Centre thanks to the performance of the PERLA systems.
I see three main assets of the PERLA laser systems: unique laser parameters, high customizability, and breakthrough applications.
