HiLASE Centre as a project partner within the Operational Programme Technology and Applications for Competitiveness (OP TAK)

The HiLASE Centre succeeded as one of the partners of the project supported by the Operational Programme Technology and Applications for Competitiveness entitled Use of Laser Technologies and Composite Materials for Improving the Performance of Gears. The main beneficiary of the project, with which HiLASE Centre cooperates, is Wikov Industry a.s.

The project, which will run from 2021 to 2027, will focus on reducing and lightening critical components for users of gearboxes in rolling stock. The project partners will focus on reducing the weight of the gear and the structural unit of which it is a part, as well as related components. By using, among other things, cutting-edge laser technologies developed at the HiLASE Centre, the project will lead to material and energy savings and design freedom.
