The maximum permissible laser exposure levels, the effects of radiation on the eyes and skin, and examples of laser accidents are just some of the topics taught to participants in the HiLASE Laser and Safety Training Centre. The latest one was held on Tuesday 4 February 2025 under the guidance of laser safety officer and trainer, Helena Vohníková.
The three-hour training covered all the basics that every laser worker should be familiar with. It introduced the basic standards and regulations for working with lasers and concluded with a test, which led to the participants receiving a confirmation of successful completion of the course.
Within the HiLASE Laser and Safety Training Centre (LSTC) we offer a range of useful training courses led by experts in laser technology. The emphasis is primarily on practical exercises and specific cases of applying the acquired knowledge in practice. For example, you can attend one of these courses in the coming months:
- Laser Maintenance | 22 April 2025 | The one-day Laser Maintenance course introduces participants to the most important skills for operating laser equipment: measuring laser output parameters, cleaning laser optical components, and adjusting the laser beam.
- Laser Safety Training | 15 May 2025 | Don’t miss the next training for laser workers.
- Laser Safety Officer | 21 – 23 May 2025 | Detailed laser safety training with calculations and a practical part in the laboratory is ideal to expand the knowledge of LST course completers.
- Laser mechanics: the beginning of the journey | 9 September 2025 | Start your journey as a laser designer. We’ll teach you the knowledge you need to design laser components or reliably integrate laser systems.
