On Thursday the 25th of April, Associate Professor Jan Píchal from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU in Prague and a group of his students visited the HiLASE Centre.
In the company of Jan Kaufman, Team Leader of Laser Shock Peening (LSP), and Matěj Žáček, Science and Research Officer, they first visited the clean laboratories. Here, they learned about the PERLA and BIVOJ laser systems, their development and applications, as well as working in a laser laboratory.
Then, the group moved to the LSP experimental halls, where Jan Kaufman introduced the work of his team and showed samples peened at the experimental station.
