On Wednesday, 20 October, a delegation of the Bratislava Municipal Region headed by the President of the Region, Juraj Droba, accompanied by the Governor of the Central Bohemian Region Petra Pecková, and the director of the regional office Jan Louška, visited the laser centres in Dolní Břežany.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the inspiring projects of the Central Bohemian Region. Being one of such projects, the HiLASE Centre presented its services, products and most importantly its connection to industry. By the cooperation with both regional and international industrial partners, the HiLASE Centre creates a bridge between science and the needs of the real world and thus contributes to the development of the region. In addition, other organisations operating in the Central Bohemian region were presented, for example the STAR Cluster, an innovation ecosystem made up of a strong community of enthusiastic local patriots, the Central Bohemian Innovation Centre (SIC), the ELI BeamLines laser centre, and BIOCEV, a platform for the development of modern biotechnology and biomedicine.
We believe that these and other visits help to develop interregional cooperation within Europe and contribute to making life in our region even better.
