On the 22nd of July, HiLASE Centre was visited by Do-Kyeong Ko, director of the South Korean Advanced Photonics Research Institute (APRI GIST), which we collaborate with on a long-term basis. Accompanied by Tomáš Mocek (head of HiLASE Centre), he visited our facilities, including the experimental hall where surfaces are treated using Laser Micromachining (LMM) technology.
APRI GIST is a part of the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology founded in 2001. It focuses, similarly to HiLASE Centre, on the transfer of laser technologies into the R&D context, for example in the areas of defense, security, aviation, space, energy, or quantum information.
