On Wednesday the 13th of March, an Annual member meeting of the Czechimplant cluster took place at the HiLASE Centre.
The first part of the meeting consisted of a presentation of results from 2023 as well as plans for the new year, a selection of a new member of the committee, and opportunities for participation in projects.
After a discussion, Martina Řeháková and Sanin Zulić (representatives of the HiLASE Centre Business Development team) introduced options for collaboration on projects and technology transfer. Petr Hauschwitz introduced the participants to laser technologies for biotech and presented the results of functional structuring for bio applications. He also informed about the possibilities of cooperation on projects focused on antibacterial surfaces on metals and plastics. After his lecture, Jan Kaufman introduced the Laser Shock Peening technology.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit the experimental halls of the Centre focused on Laser Shock Peening and Laser Micromachining. Before the meeting was concluded, they also visited the facility of the neighbouring Brain4Industry Innovation centre.
