In the webinar, we will describe what considerations should be taken during the design of high energy and average power laser.
We start with an overview of materials that are suitable for high energy laser: from thermal management to energy storage and extraction. Then we focus on laser induced damage threshold in high repetition rate laser and the implications to design of the laser and laser apertures. Once the preliminary design is complete, we will guide you through energy storage efficiency that is influenced by losses through amplified spontaneous emission. Options to minimize amplified spontaneous emission will be presented including doping optimization and the addition of absorbing cladding. Then we introduce the high energy high average laser Bivoj, including insight to laser alignment and diagnostics. We conclude by introducing lessons learned from laser operation.
