We cordially invite you to the celebrations of the 2024 International Day of Light, which will take place at the HiLASE Centre and other facilities worldwide on Thursday the 16th of May 2023 from 4pm to 8pm. This time, it will be 64 years since American physicist and engineer Theodore Harold Maiman introduced the first laser and laid the very foundation of our research.

- 16:00 | 17:00 | 18:00 (ENG) | 19:00 | Guided tour of LSP halls | Find out more about the Laser Shock Peening technology and have a look at some real-life use cases. The tour is not suitable for children under 10. Book your space by clicking on the time slot above.
- 16:00 – 19:00 | For the duration of the evening, we have prepared fun activities for scientists big and small. Put on the shoes of a secret agent and tread through a laser maze, follow the clues of lasers across Dolní Břežany, or try some virtual reality games. The youngest will be entertained by a light lab with plenty of optical experiments, a crafting corner or a physics cinema.

By bus l.333 from Kačerov (metro line C) or l.341 from Nádraží Modřany to the stop Dolní Břežany, obecní úřad.
By car – Za Radnicí 828, Dolní Břežany – parking on the square directly in front of the HiLASE Centre (subject to a parking fee).
